  1. Jason,

I like your blog at the top about not being biased and making sure the results are accurate, not just what we are hoping to see.
Your goal is to find solutions to increasing student absences, etc. but in the plan you only mention participation in extra curricular or co curricular activities. Are you looking at other solutions? If not, maybe your goal could be specifically about how participation in extra curricular and co curricular activities decreases student absences etc. Or the reverse of that...how the lack of participation in extra and co curricular activities increases student absences, etc.

Good luck. I think this is a great project.

Could you please comment on mine (lorislamar@blogspot.com)?

    Thanks,

    Lori

  2. Hi Jason! You have a strong topic. What are your ideas for sample size? If you have a large student body to study, you might want to narrow it down a little. You could choose a certain student population...say 9th grade girls, or select a control group, like athletes, to compare to none athletes. Just some suggestions. You want your research to be doable. Good Luck!

    1. The sample size will be the entire student body here. We are a rural 2A school with about 315 students. I will compare athletes & non athletes as well as co curricular participants and non participants (FFA, STUCO, FCCLA, etc... ) Thanks for the insight !!!

  3. Hi Jason! I have a similar plan for my campus. I think this is a very interesting topic. I think it is a good idea to use the entire student body. The whole school will benefit from this research. Good Luck!
